So we grabbed a couple beers to drink under the bridge,
For a moment took back some innocence, convinced we were just kids.
But, in the back of our minds we felt the pull of the world,
That battled our inner beings with “fight it but you will grow old”Then we found a little lenience, leaped to our younger days
When finally growing up was something we said just came with age.
But the years keep passing and with so many left to go,
I ain’t afraid to admit it, I don’t wanna go.
‘cause everyday’s a struggle and we can’t remain huddled,
To the fires of our youth, we’re building different bubbles.
That just won’t pop ‘cause as we progress, we gain new prospects
We gain new meaning for our lives and sometimes we forget
All the shit we’ve been through, but survived together
So at the end of the world it’s with you, the doom I will weather. How many faces have we seen and loved and watch fade together? How many promises to them did we make to stay forever, that ended up “whenever”?And how many more will we meet for brunch but never bring home for dinner? That’s a pretty awful way to let you know, we lose a lot but together we’re still winners.
proud of this guy.
